The Silencing: The Silencing Full Movie Review:
"The Silencing The Silencing' begins with a chilling , long image of a young woman's body floating on a beautiful stream that flows between and the high mountains of Minnesota. The scene is set for the dark and gritty story in a mysteriously creepy town. In this secluded county, everybody knows each other , but there's always a feeling of anxiety and a tinge of terror that is lingering around the corner. A mysterious killer has been in the streets, murdering young women for reasons that are not known to him.
Former hunter, now city's guardian angel. large wildlife sanctuary Rayburn Swanson (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau of Game of Thrones fame) is missing his daughter at the age of 15, just five years earlier. The only thing he has to do is to help the animals from the predators and search for his daughter who is missing. Rayburn has long ago given up on local police in his quest to find his daughter. However, the newly appointed county sheriff Alice Gustafson (Annabelle Wallis) is optimistic that she can solve the mystery that has put the town in limbo for many years. As she gets her work accomplished, she's also faced with anger from locals as well as the troubled brother Brooks (Hero Fiennes Tiffin) who has criminal tendencies only makes her more miserable. This is symbolic of the reality every character in Sawbill is broken in one way or other way.
The director Robin Pront and writer Micah Ranum have succeeded in creating the terrifying atmospherics thanks to their master cinematographer Manuel Dacosse. They aren't afraid of taking us close to the murderer, who is constantly disguised and hidden among the trees. The woods deep and the city's dark areas are effective as characters in and of themselves. They symbolize the terrible character of crime as well as the perpetrator. The other thing that works is the relationships between characters as well as the human drama in the midst of all the violence. The bond with Alice with her husband is particularly interesting due to their differing personalities. The action is quite violent in the course of events, but it doesn't get too much. The narrative is well-paced. Even though Pront utilizes familiar tropes from the serial killer saga dramatic performances, a steady speed and the thrilling setup are what make the distinction.
Nikolaj Coster-Waldau plays a fierce hunter who is seeking a way to reclaim his life after the loss of his daughter. He is a fervent character in the physically demanding role of an angry, but courageous Rayburn. The reason he is so determined to save defenseless animal species is to make up for his inability to save his daughter who was averse to his hunt. Annabelle Wallis also pulls off an eminent performance as Sheriff, who has to face numerous battles in order in order to fulfill her duties. Hero Fiennes Tiffin and other characters are well-cast. However, it could be beneficial if some the main characters had some background information. The main drawback to "The Silencing" is its lack of conclusion, though. The build-up sequence is extremely dynamic and unpredictable, but the main reveal isn't that exciting.
