Madha: Madha Full Movie Review:
Madha (Insanity personified) is a fascinating psychological thriller. It's a clever use of sharp crescendos as well as low-lights that create the atmosphere Sri Vidya Basawa hopes for. Madha is a decent thriller, despite slow-paced introductions that drag on and a tense climax.
Balasubramaniam (Bikramjeet Khanwarpal), a psychiatrist, begins his lecture about the human mind. He describes it as a dangerous weapon. Arjun and Nisha are engrossed in their lecture. There is also a subplot about a group scientists who are working on a gene-correction program. The film tells the story of Arjun's deception of Nisha and how it relates to the lecture and scientists.
Madha is technically impressive and has a compelling story that keeps it interesting. The love story between Arjun & Nisha is a major letdown. It never keeps the audience interested enough. The film only gets interesting when it manages to get beyond that. It's disappointing that the film ends again and climax are so abrupt.
Trishna Mokherjee is the protagonist of this story and she does a great job. Her performance as the trapped victim in a mental hospital deserves special mention. Venkat's performance as Arjun isn't up to par. It makes one wonder what the film would have been like if Venkat had been a better actor. Anish Kuruvilla plays a crucial role, but he can't quite deliver in certain scenes. Bikramjeet does an adequate job, even though scenes drag on and become repetitive.
The film is flawed, but Naresh Kumaran’s background score elevates it when needed. Abhiraj Nair's cinematography is captivating with the perfect balance between light and colour.
