Khaali Peeli: Khaali Peeli Full Movie Review:
In the past, in their village of Shivpur at the time that Vijay Chauhan aka Blackie was in the age group of 10 years old, and his Babuji (Anup Soni) was well-known for being an absolute Phattu. But, through pure chance the son of his father is born with a sly streak, and also an avid hustler in the making. Perhaps, to prove that they are a good example to the villager and their own family the father-son duo set off on a saga of crime that's unavoidable from the beginning, and again because of Chauhan senior's notorious namby-pamby methods. Then, 10 years after, Vijay - now earning the nickname Blackie due to his fraudulent schemes - is currently on the run, and has settled in Mumbai as an 'local' Kaali Peeli (hence Blackie's name), remember it?) driver. In the present the city is roiling with anger as the taxi union demands a strike for an indefinite amount of period until that the city can meet their demands. But not Blackie however. He isn't averse to the guidelines and sees it as an opportunity to create cash and extract as much money as he can from the desperate... Talk about morally bankrupt! The salwar-clad, ticking time bomb Pooja who's in hiding from risky people. She's also got an entire bag of cash and jewelry. Her safety is something he's not worried about , but the huge moolah, definitely. The tale of "Khaali Peeli is a journey through the dark alleyway of Kamathipura (Mumbai's Red-light District) and returns to its original location which is Uttar Pradesh. What happens over the course of two days, with a clear overlap between both the past and the future is what this drama encapsulates.
While flicking his back collar while lighting his borrowed cigarette, in a Rajinikath-like style, Blackie makes an open admission about himself before the camera. He does not sacrifice the two aspects that define his emo-vagabond life - tashan as well as the word 'emosan'. The first image is enough to tell us that the remainder of the tour will be an unmistakably Bollywood masala film. The director Maqbool Khan delivers on various points. There are sly hooligans with name that are more terrifying (sample this Yusuf Chikna! ) Then there's the timeless sacrifice that is the main concept of the story There's an inspector named Tawde and bullets flitting all around the hero who is unharmed! The speed of the film, it's the opening 30-40 mins that are filled with funny dialogs and a lot of visual delight that is awe-inspiring.
But the problem in "Khaali peeli" seems to be in Sima Agarwal's script and screenplay by Yash. combination of flashbacks and the present timeline interferes with the pacing of the story. There are a there are a few hits, but a lot of missed opportunities. In order to bring the dots together and clarify the circumstances these characters find themselves in, screenwriters frequently resort to introducing emotional setbacks and a variety of techniques that seem a more drag. The romance of Ishaan and Ananya isn't one of the most enthralling or convincing that we've seen in movies in recent times (there is a awkward kiss as well). The truth is that the children who are playing the roles of their children have better connection with each other than these two.
In looking at his strength in each frame it is evident that Ishaan worked hard not just to get into the personality of his character, but making the right nuances clear and the perfect roll of 'Rs' when speaking the colloquial slang, exuberant walk of Mumbai's streetside Romeos, and just generally acting airy in dance sequences. In the sexy numbers 'Duniya' Sharma Jaayegi as well as Tehas Nehas", Ishaan showcases the talents of a professional dancer. He is reminiscent of the younger Shahid. Even wearing those Patiala outfits and that huge nose pin that is pierced to the side that is not right, Ananya looks every bit the glamorous woman she is. It's almost impossible to picture her role as Pooja living a dark, troubling life in the lane of the ruthless Kamathipura. The fact that she's making an effort is apparent however, in this character she doesn't have confidence of a woman who has a tough life. The actors who make the 'H' more hilarious the role are experienced actors Zakir Hussain in the role of inspector Tawde as well as Satish Kaushik as the dumbo-in-denial investigator Bhim. The two comedians provide the right amount of energy to the action that makes us all anxious sometimes. In addition, they deliver solid performances. in the greyer side is Jaideep Ahlawat as Yusuf Chikna and, to everyone's delight the singer-songwriter Swanand Kirkire as the hung-up Aashique Choksi Seth. Ahlawat is a shrewd actor with grim glares and occasionally shaking of his hair. And Kirkire is exactly what he's supposed to be: A lustful, wealthy businessman.
