The Gentlemen: The Gentlemen Full Movie Review:
From the first moment The Gentlemen draws you in and won't let go. It's because of a group of sly gentlemen in clean suits, who are determined to take on each other, But not necessarily in a manner. They're not a gang-bang kind of way. They are elegant and sophisticated with some being sharp and smart with some being young and charming. They all ensure you never miss a beat. Director-writer Guy Ritchie creates each of his characters with strengths and a touch of vulnerability that makes the audience befriend the characters.
Matthew McConaughey is a perfect fit for the bill for an edgy drug Mafioso and according to his own words, is"the "king of the jungle". His baritone voice is deep and rich, adding to the power of his sharply crafted dialogue and shrewd manner of speaking. This is also true for his right-hand guy Raymond who is played in the role of British actor Charlie Hunnam. His calm and composed manner is a perfect match for his sexy look as he tackles the most difficult situations, often with a straight-faced humour, too. Collin Farrell is endearing as the genuine boxing coach of a group of misled and rowdy youths. The rest on the team is captivating but the actor who stands out above the rest by his humorous humor and irreverent wit can be Hugh Grant. The gifted English actor is the one who has the most enjoyment as the charming and sly private investigator Fletcher who relays the findings of his investigation in front of Ray in the screenplay. The chemistry between these pair of British actors is evidently the main focus of the film, as do the subtle sexual innuendos between them that create some trippy entertaining.
