In the heartlands of Chhorii tells the tale of a young, modern couple Sakshi (Nushrratt Bharuccha) and Hemant. Sakshi is pregnant at eight months and has her very first baby when she is who are forced to leave their home, flees the city and hides in a house hidden within the fields of sugarcane. The house is inhabited an old couple that appear to have more information than they admit. The couple are not aware of Sakshi the house and the fields are plagued by disturbing secrets that unravel in the course of the narrative which poses a threat to Sakshi and her unborn baby. As Sakshi is trying to save her baby and herself terrifying sightings of three unknown children and a dead monster, paired with a spooky lullaby coming through an obsolete transistor make her insane.
